Sunday the 20th. Ahoy travel buddies from the
gem. We are 500 miles away from land and the HIGH
SEAS have arrived. Most of the day was smooth
sailing until about 9 pm tonight. Sick passengers
abound and room service has been overwhelmed.
The day started out SUNNY and pleasant. We had a
light breakfast and ate outside on the back of the
ship. With no land in sight and new friends around to
talk about how magical the
Trip across the Atlantic really is.
We then went to the spa. Which is on deck 12 on the
front of the ship with all glass walls. What a VIEW.
Nothing but miles and miles of sea. The heated
stone beds and the hydra thermal pool was
amazing. John never thought he would spend
several hours in a spa. Chris was not happy with no
steam in the steam room. But the glass walls in the
sauna made up for it.
It was then time for lunch. Off to the buffet and
amazing salads and Chris’s customary ice cream
cone!!!
Nap TIME…..
We then were off to the steak house AMAZING also
but missing Lynn and our friend Kathy. She would
have sent her steak back since ours was nice and
red inside she only likes dark meat. We had fillet ,
oyster’s Rockefeller, shrimp, lobster bisque, crab
cakes and a bottle of wine. Along with the ever so
must have SINFUL chocolate obsession.
We planned on going to the show but the front of the
ship was a little bouncy. Chris then headed to the
buffet for a cone. But found macadamia nut ice
cream . Where does he put in. They say we will all
gain 8lbs in 2 weeks. I think he will gain 30 and be
wearing a size 50 by the time he gets home.
We change the clocks 1 hour ahead tonight.
